Michael Eilberg is one of Britain’s up and coming Dressage stars. He began his career competing in Show Jumping and was one of the riders selected for the very first World Class Start Programme where he spent time as a working student with Tim Stockdale and in Germany with Hauke Luther.
On returning home, with dressage horses in need of schooling rather than jumpers, Michael decided to concentrate his efforts and earn a living that way. He first competed in dressage in 2007 and won his first National Title in the Advanced Medium Championships on Janeiro in 2008 where his sister, Maria, won the National Champion title. He joined the World Class Development squad at the start of 2009 and won the Advanced Medium Open National Championships on Woodlander Dornroeschen. His most advanced horse was at Grand Prix level by the end of 2009 so he plans to compete in his first Grand Prix during 2010.
